FINAL

SELF-PORTRAIT: Do you see what I see? ( face vs eyes)

MY ARTIST STATEMENT.

I came to photography because I love taking photos of nature and people, also because I thought about minoring in photography.I learned that photography contained a lot of variables like editing using photoshop filters and take photos in certain angles to get the certain lighting or view of the object/person your taking the photo of. I also learned that I can be more creative with my photos and not just take a bunch at the same angle or just take one and be satisfied with it. I had a lot of challenges which were that I had to be posting the up on a blog, I always struggled with keeping up with my own blog, I had the same struggle in digital arts so I was not really surprised, also since I was gone in Mexico for two weeks so I struggled to catch up considering I was already behind the class. But despite that I really enjoyed doing the pinhole project, that one was a lot of fun to do and really interesting because we had to go through a certain process that used to be really popular to do because we didn't really have digital cameras back then. I would probably re-do the sabattier process because I feel like I could've put more thought into it but I did an okay job on it. My final project would have to do with emotion, because the whole point is to look at the entire face that has a dramatic look and the wording on one of them but then just focus on the eyes and see if the emotion in the eyes give you a whole new perspective. Its basically saying that I seem fine but look into my eyes and see that I am actually not. When someone looks at it I want them to have a new perspective of the people around them, like lest say theres this really pretty girl who is really social and seems to be enjoying life but if you look closely and at her eyes it would tell a whole another story about her. I would tell future photography students that they would have to work with photoshop like to cut, edit, paste, give your images a filter of your choosing but also to make it seem realistic, but its a lot of fun and not to over stress out with the class but a little stress is okay.
